I used this moving service to relocate from Cambridge to Brampton July 2011. Was my first time using a moving company and glad I did. The crew were fast and very organized. I was very impressed with the service I received from Douglas, and his crew as well Matt and Mike.
All of my belongings were wrapped in protective blankets and was very securely loaded onto the truck.
I never realized how much of an art form it is when it comes to loading a truck with household goods til I had seen Douglas do his thing, Awesome!

All in all my move went very well and I would definitely use This company again and would recommend it to anyone in need of a household move

I was referred to E Octave by a family member who was impressed with how quick and organized the E Octave team managed his move to a new home.

I decided to hire E Octave for my move and I couldn’t ask for a better team of movers. It was hot and humid, but the movers didn’t stop and worked quickly. Most importantly, all my items arrived in 1 piece. They handled all my boxes with care, even though I’m sure they were exhausted by the stairs, heat, and humidity.

I have no hesitation to refer friends and family to E Octave and they will be my first choice for my next move.

Looking for reliable and professional movers seem to be a task these days, when I came across the ad “E Octave Household Mover” I had sent an email and within an hour someone had replied back to me, exchanged a few details and I had a flat rate for my move .. and Douglas was a man of his word when the move was all finished .. there were no hidden fee’s or extra charges .. quoted for my move and this was exactly what I payed.

Douglas had me moved within hours .. and the rate was unbelievable (almost half the rate of other companies I had contacted).

I could not believe how efficient this crew was.

All my belongings were blanket wrapped and handled with caution.

I called Douglas from his ad in kijiji. I had that feeling that maybe I made a mistake hiring him with no references. I took a chance. I was in a bind the last mover I spoke with wasn’t very nice and so I cancelled him 5 days before the job..that was to happen on New Years Eve day.
Douglas fit me in. He and his assistant Blade were professional and courtious. They were punctual and thorough. They put me at ease right away and had my 3 part move under control. I consider myself very lucky that I came across his ad. Two thumbs up and a 10 out of 10 for these guys.

I had a great moving experience with Douglas and his assistant. we communicated a few times prior to the move to schedule the time, they arrived on time and worked efficiently. Both were very professional, wrapped all my furniture with their own wrapping material of their own, used runners on the floors to avoid floors getting dirty, and unwrapped and placed all furniture where they needed to be at the new place. I searched a lot to find professional and reliable movers (as you know, there are tons of movers adds everywhere), the positive comments on this website caught my attention and I am very happy I did my move through them. I will definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking for help with a move!

I moved from Waterloo to Ottawa. I did extensive search to find the best deal. I found Douglas’s contact on kijij, contacted him and arranged for a visit to see my stuff, we agreed on the date to move. Just to mention, during that search period I contacted around 6 people/companies who do moving service and I stopped searching once I found Douglas.

This man was extremely polite and professional, the price I got was the best ever I can get. I am listing what I liked:

1. Honest and very polite person. No tricky fees, what he said was exactly what I paid.
2. Arrive on time as confirmed two days before the move.
3.Douglas and the assistant were very friendly until the last minute of the move. Excellent understanding of different cultures as well.
4.Even simple thing like greeting my wife and kids when they completed was there .

I did not notice anything negative to mention.

I strongly recommend Douglas for any move, stop searching and make the deal with him.. Thanks Douglas.

Use E Octave if you’d like the ‘big moving company’ experience (such as being on time, wrapping everything in blankets, using runners to protect your floors, not having a single thing break) at a super small mover price. The rate was unbeatable, the movers were friendly, on-time, kind and courteous. They literally folded my queen size mattress in half just to get it up a flight of stairs in an old Guelph home. I wouldn’t have a bed without them! I would (and already have) recommend E Octave to anyone.

May 2, 2015: Had a great move yesterday with Douglas and colleague. Douglas was recommended to me by Sara ( see comment above). They were everything she said they were. Douglas went out of his way to accommodate us when we discovered we couldn’t move in until the afternoon. Everything went extremely well!!!

Douglas and his assistant Adam (I think) were the nicest and most helpful people. They had the best rates of anyone I got quotes from including using u-haul and my own manpower! They did all the work and wrapped and protected everything from top to bottom. We could leave things in drawers and they were even willing to wrap and deal with some framed wall art/paintings. They showed up when they said they would and worked methodically ’till the work was done.

These guys are simply fantastic movers! I live in Toronto and I had to move within the city, as well as take some overflow stuff to a family member’s house in Guelph. Douglas and his colleague were punctual, professional, friendly and incredibly efficient. They were respectful of both my old space and my new space: they covered the flooring, so as not to mark it up, when moving stuff out and in. They also carefully wrapped all of my furniture (much of it precious antiques) with blankets and took incredible care in moving them, loading them on the truck, unloading and setting them up again at my new place. They were good humoured, too. In a time of transition, where things feel unsettled and chaotic, they made me feel like they had my back, and that everything was going to be okay. And all of this at an affordable price. I can’t recommend E Octave highly enough!!!
